Choose a start temperature anywhere from 35 to 65 °C (it comes set at 45 °C). When your gear reaches it, the fan starts, then ramps up to full speed as the temperature climbs. Once things cool to 3 °C below the start point, it stops. No switches, no guesswork, no fan running when it doesn't need to.
