    Big, easy airflow.

The Cool 140 moves serious volume with a calm, unhurried feel. It delivers 126 m³/h at 12 V while drawing only 0.11 A, making it ideal for larger canopies, under-seat installs and bigger enclosures where you want plenty of fresh air. Premium brushless construction keeps it quiet and smooth, and 4-wire PWM lets CoolControl dial it up only when you need it. Universal mount fitted, 1m lead with fork terminals in the box, and the optional Cool 140 Vertical Fan Mount makes for a tidy, purpose-built finish.

    • Quiet, smooth, high-performance brushless motor
    • 12 V DC, 4-wire PWM (works with DURST CoolControl)
    • Same 4-pin locking connector across the whole DURST Cool range, so fans, leads and CoolControl all plug together
    • Universal mount fitted. Optional swap: Cool 140 Vertical Fan Mount
    • Braided side-exit cable

    Built different

These are premium 12 V brushless fans, built for equipment cooling. The highest grade of fan, engineered as a fan in its own right.

    • Braided wiring and 4-pin locking connectors on every part
    • Comes with a mounting solution: universal mount fitted
    • Engineered grills front and back
    • Anti-vibration system: soft TPU dampers (the blue and red parts) keep vibration to a minimum
    • Heavy-duty, hard-wearing external armour made with carbon polymers

In the box: DURST Cool 140 fan, universal mount (fitted), 1m power lead (80cm lead plus 20cm extension with positive and negative fork terminals).

    DURST Cool FAQ

    1. What is DURST Cool?
DURST Cool is our range of premium 12 V DC equipment cooling fans: the Cool 80, Cool 120, Cool 120 Pro and Cool 140, plus the optional CoolControl 01 temperature controller, power leads and mounts. It is built to move heat out of canopies, battery boxes, drawers and other enclosed 12 V spaces. Heat out. Power in.

    2. Why does my 12 V gear need cooling?
When DC-DC chargers and inverters get hot, they protect themselves by derating and cutting their output. In a sealed canopy or battery box the heat has nowhere to go. DURST Cool gives that heat a way out, working alongside your equipment's original ventilation, so your gear can keep delivering the power you paid for.

    3. Which DURST Cool fan should I choose?
Cool 80 (80mm, 22.5 cfm, 0.09 A): tight spaces and compact installs, and the only fan that fits the Cool Flow DC-DC charger brackets. Cool 120 (120mm, 53 cfm, 0.12 A): the all-rounder for general equipment installs. Cool 120 Pro (120mm, 108 cfm, 6.15 mmH2O, 0.48 A): high airflow and high pressure for high-heat and crowded spaces. Cool 140 (140mm, approx. 74 cfm / 126 m3/h, 0.11 A): larger compartments that need broad airflow coverage. Figures are from the product labels at 12 V.

    4. What makes DURST Cool fans different?
DURST Cool fans are premium 12 V brushless fans, built for equipment cooling: the highest grade of fan, engineered as a fan in its own right. Every fan has braided wiring and 4-pin locking connectors, a mounting solution, engineered grills front and back, soft TPU anti-vibration dampers (blue, and red on the Pro) and heavy-duty, hard-wearing external armour made with carbon polymers. Brushless motors keep them quiet and smooth.

    5. What comes in the box?
Every fan comes with the universal mount fitted and a 1m power lead: an 80cm lead with a 4-pin locking plug, plus a 20cm extension with positive and negative fork terminals for connecting to the battery terminals.

    6. What voltage do the fans run on?
All DURST Cool fans are 12 V DC brushless fans with 4-wire PWM speed control. Connect them to a 12 V DC supply and confirm polarity before connecting.

    7. What is CoolControl and do I need it?
CoolControl 01 is an optional, plug-and-play temperature controller. Without it, the fan runs whenever it has power. With it, the fan stays off until the start temperature is reached, ramps up to full speed as the temperature rises and switches off 3 °C below the start temperature. It works with every DURST Cool fan.

    8. How do I install CoolControl?
It fits inline between the fan and the power lead using built-in male and female 4-pin locking plugs, so there is no cutting or crimping. Plug the fan into CoolControl, plug CoolControl into the power lead, then place the temperature probe in the space you want to cool. Full steps are in the DURST Cool manual.

    9. What are the CoolControl settings?
Start temperature 35 to 65 °C (default 45 °C), start fan speed 20 to 60% (default 25%) and full-speed difference 5 to 50 °C (default 20 °C). On the defaults the fan starts at 45 °C at 25% speed, reaches full speed at 65 °C and stops at 42 °C. You set it with one button and three LEDs.

    10. How many fans can one CoolControl run?
CoolControl runs on 5 to 15 V DC and can run any combination of DURST Cool fans up to 3 A in total.

    11. Which mounts and brackets are available?
Every fan has the universal mount fitted. Optional mounts are the Cool 120 Vertical Fan Mount (Cool 120 and Cool 120 Pro) and the Cool 140 Vertical Fan Mount (Cool 140). Cool Flow brackets hold a Cool 80 on top of a DURST 25A DC-DC charger, a DURST 50A Dual Voltage DC-DC charger or popular BCDC chargers. Check the product page or contact Durst for the charger models the BCDC bracket fits.

    12. Where should I install it, and what is the warranty?
DURST Cool suits DC-DC chargers, inverters, fridge compartments, power boards, under-seat installs, battery boxes and enclosed 12 V systems. Keep in a dry place, away from hot surfaces, with an open airflow path. For engine bays or anywhere flammable gas may be present, contact Durst first. DURST Cool fans and CoolControl carry a 12-month warranty from Durst.
